Burghill Golf Course
Golf Day,
28th Sept. 2007

Ten teams of four played in a recent charity golf tournament organised by Hereford Wye Valley Rotary Club at Burghill Valley Golf Club.  All the teams enjoyed excellent refreshments before and a great meal after the competition. The course was in first class condition and the weather very kind. The four ball better ball competition achieved a creditable 85 Stableford points for the winning team. The shield with donated prizes was won by the 'Saints' comprising Bill Harris, Andy Swift, Mike Langford and Rob Danks . The attached picture shows our President Alan Davies presenting the Shield to them. The event was followed by an auction of a wide range of donated items. Auctioneer Paul Morris secured some great prices and the bidders some bargains. Along with the profit from the donated raffle prizes a total surplus for the day amounted to £1324. This will be shared between two local organisations in Herefordshire

Golf Day - 2006

Hereford Wye Valley Rotarians really got into the swing of it when the club organised a charity golf day at the Burghill Valley club, near Hereford. The September 2006 event raised over £3,000, which was split between the Barr’s Court School HydroSense Project and the Macmillan Renton Cancer Relief Centre Appeal.
